Meditation

"The affairs of the world will go on forever. Do not delay the practice of meditation" - Milarepa

Welcome to the complete guide to meditation. Here you will find a compilation of various experienced authors on the subject of meditation. Meditation is the key and the gateway to all self discovery and realization. The best tool that we can use on this earth. It is still a reletively unknown concept to westernized cultures but as we are realizing the power and benefits of it, it is becoming more and more practiced and accepted as a great tool and excercise. The biggest challenge in meditation is starting and taking that very first step. After you take this step you will wonder how you ever managed to get through life without meditating. Meditation is not some choir but an exhilarating experience that you will look forward to each day. When you first start it will be a lot of work but it will all be worth it once you master it. It's time to stop waiting and start meditating.

You may want to meditate but you keep giving yourself excuses not to. You tell yourself that you don't have enough time or that you don't have a place to do it. you may even feel embarrassed about what others will think of you. If you truly want to meditate then you will find the time and place to meditate and you will realize that it doesn't matter what others think because you are the one benefiting from it and they don't realize what they are missing. Even if you take just a few minutes each day, where ever you can, even in your bathroom after you jump out of the shower, you will experience the great benefits of it. There is no reason or excuse why you shouldn't start meditating right now.

Another challenge when you first start out is focusing and relaxing. Were so used to always doing something and always keeping our minds occupied that the concept of just sitting there meditating is foreign. It takes time and practice before you can begin to still your rambling mind and actually enjoy the moment. At first this may seem impossible but after just a few times of meditating you will get past this problem. Each time you meditate you will be able to do it longer and you will reach higher levels of blissfulness.

To start having regular meditation sessions is not near as hard as most people think it is. Everyone is different and so the meditation tools and techniques that work great for one person might not work great for you. It's up to you to try the different meditation techniques and tools and decide which one you like best. I would recommend that you start with meditation for beginners and master this before you move on and try different techniques. Here at Conscious Intervention you will find all the tools and recourses that you need to become a meditating guru. There is no excuse or reason why you should not start meditating right now. Don't put it off any longer and just take the first step. I promise that you will not regret it.

Make sure and stop by the meditation forum where you can post any questions or comments that you have with other people just like you.
